Studying in a new country is an exciting experience, but it can also feel challenging at times. At Ludlow University, we’re here to make sure you feel supported from your first day to your graduation. Our international support network is designed to help you adjust to life in the UK, succeed academically, and feel part of a welcoming community.
Whether you need advice on visas, wellbeing, finances or academic skills, our dedicated teams are always here to help.
International support team
Our team provides advice on visas, immigration, working during your studies, and adjusting to life in the UK. You can book one-to-one appointments or drop into our weekly support sessions.
Academic support
We offer workshops, tutorials and resources to help with academic writing, referencing, presentations and study techniques. Support is available through the Academic Skills Centre and your department.

What you need to know
Adapting to a new culture
Adjusting to life in a new country takes time. We offer sessions on British culture, academic expectations, and everyday life in the UK to help you settle in confidently. You’ll also be matched with a peer mentor who can share their own experience and tips.
Practical support
Our student advisors can assist with practical matters such as healthcare registration, accommodation queries, and part-time work options. You can also access 24-hour online guidance through our student portal, so help is always within reach.
Academic confidence
Studying in a second language can be a challenge, but our language support services are here to help. You can attend free English for Academic Purposes workshops, join study groups, or request personalised academic coaching.
Health and wellbeing
Your wellbeing is a priority. In addition to counselling and mental health services, we offer mindfulness sessions, wellbeing workshops, and student-led activities that promote balance and self-care.
Staying connected
International students are an important part of the Ludlow community. We host social events throughout the year – from cultural festivals and food markets to film nights and city trips – so you can make friends and feel part of campus life.
