Understanding our planet, protecting its future

Environmental science at Ludlow University explores the natural processes that sustain life on Earth - and how human activity affects them. Our courses combine scientific investigation, field research and data analysis to help you understand environmental change and develop practical solutions for a sustainable future.

You’ll study the interactions between air, water, soil, ecosystems and people, building the scientific knowledge and analytical skills needed to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges — from climate change and pollution to biodiversity loss and resource management.

Fieldwork and hands-on learning

Apply your knowledge in the field through studies of local and international ecosystems, habitats and environmental systems.

Scientific investigation

Gain experience in chemistry, biology and earth sciences to understand how the environment functions and responds to change.

Data analysis and research

Learn to collect, interpret and communicate scientific data using advanced analytical tools and software.

Climate and sustainability studies

Explore environmental management, policy, and strategies for reducing human impact on the planet.

Professional and global impact

Collaborate on projects with external partners, from conservation groups to environmental consultancies.
