Ludlow University is celebrating the success of alumna Victoria Lee, who has been awarded the National Emerging Artist Prize for her mixed-media installation “Echoes of Light.” The award recognises outstanding innovation and creative impact among early-career artists across the UK.
Victoria, who graduated with a BA in Fine Art from Ludlow University in 2021, was praised by the judging panel for her ability to combine traditional craft with contemporary themes of identity, memory, and environment. Her winning piece, exhibited at the Royal Arts Gallery in London, explores the relationship between light, texture, and personal narrative.
My time at Ludlow University gave me the confidence to take creative risks and develop my own voice as an artist. The support and mentorship I received there were invaluable.
The School of Arts at Ludlow University congratulated Victoria on her success, noting that her work reflects the university’s commitment to fostering creativity, experimentation, and professional development.
Victoria's next project will be a solo exhibition supported by the prize fund, set to tour galleries across the UK in 2026.
